Wishing everyone a fantastic and safe Labor Day.
• Just love the style of this 1940's era bowling alley in Elgin Illinois..Check out the split pin that frames the door way..

• Pink larkspur flowers surround this barn among an Oregon Oak studded hillside,
• The long walk at Paulina Lake near Bend Oregon...it is a crater like crater lake but a ridge separated the two lakes..now a beautiful place to see basalt, pumice and Paulina Falls...
• From the library of Congress the Capitol through the blinds.
• Haystack Rock view with an old weathered log catching the sand. I like the patterns the wind has made.
• Using the focal BW I was able to concentrate on the orange in the echinacea. The bee looks golden as well..
Thanks for the comments from last week..Another busy week for us with family in town, but always fun!
• We're back..this is what Snickers thought about our being on vacation...Talk about "Cattitude"..I don't think he needs to work on that any more, Do you?
• The bees are so happy that spring, or summer is finally here! They are all over the echinacea...Love the orange against the pinkish purple..
Will be offline for a bit, probably won't get to post until next week...
Happy Weekend everyone!
• OK, what is it about sunflowers that seem to make the world or your day feel good..The sunny yellow flowers against a brilliant blue sky.
Thank you for the great comments yesterday, love this forum! You keep me challenged and thinking in new ways..
• Well its not the macro that I wanted but it's what I got..isn't that the case too ofter :).
The bees are busy with the PeeGee Hydrangea that is just now starting to bloom..can you say late spring! The crepe myrtle and the mimosa are still waiting..they better hurry or they'll have to wait until next year. Up here in Oregon it has been an amazing summer, with temps in the upper 70's and clear afternoon skies. Remind me of this when I start complaining in January about all the rain. Have a lovely Sunday!
• The delicate beauty of this ornamental oregano with morning dew glistens under the soft sunlit sky. Using the focal bw defines the color...
Origanum Kent Beauty
• As we walked along a shady forested trail along the Uppler Clackamas river, the sun poked through the trees shining on the moss and on Cinn. Looking pretty good for a 14 year old shep/golden mix.
• Since it's my son Dan's birthday and he's is such a class act I thought I'd put something a little better that he would enjoy...I hear Jay Leno has 8 of these beautiful Dusenbergs..Just found out they were built in Ohio...
• Happy Birthday Dan!
It's haying time..love the patterns formed by the rolled hay in the field..can you believe this is 25 minutes from downtown Portland? Oregon produces the most grass seed in the world..too bad I'm allergic!
• The grounds around Belknap springs are very beautiful with walkways through tree shrouded paths. Amazing in the summer but very cool in the winter.
Heading out of town next week so hope to have some fun new things to post.
• Looking through the grapevine on the McKenzie River in central Oregon..River is still flowing really fast. This river is so very beautiful and is surrounded by lava fields and hot springs.
• 14 year old Cinnamon and her new bone pillow...She loves to play keep away..oh and every toy is hers...any questions! She is a retriever/shepherd mix that was a rescue..She loves to go hiking still and has lots of energy...
Have a great Saturday
• I like the simplicity of this picture...Calm and peaceful. Wishing you all a fantastic Friday
